    We gots turkeys !!

Anyone reading my blogs from around last april will know what im talking about :-D There was a huge flock of wild turkeys that came into the yard every day when I moved in, and i told my daughter all about it and got her excited about moving to the country.

The day she came back home from her Dads, they never returned. I think they just shifted territory with spring, but I felt like a dope. She got to see one lone turkey about 2 weeks after moving in.

Well, there are 3 turkeys in my driveway with a whole gaggle of little gobble-babies. Totally cute. Em was actually the first to spot them as they arrived. She was excited at first, but without a good view she quickly lost interest.

I have hopes they may return later in the season then. I'll have to get some more birdseed. Here is a pic of the tom turkey and his harem from last year.

A couple of months ago, I crossed paths with a wild turkey, which I believe was a totem animal revealing its self to me. Here's the information I found:

    TURKEY

Shared Blessings The Turkey is the symbol of sacrifice.
It give life so others may live.

Many saints and mystics have Turkey as a totem.
With a Turkey totem, you have transcended self.
You act and react on behalf of others.
This act is not a sense of moralism or guilt,
but a deep knowledge that all life is sacred.
What you do for others, you also do for yourself. To have a Turkey totem is a true gift.
Its gift may be spiritual, material or intellectual.
Through giving to others will you reach your own goals. The Turkey is linked to the third eye,
the seat of feminine energies within us, and the center for higher vision. Turkey is also the symbol of the Mother Earth and her abundant harvest.
All of Earth's blessings and the ability to use them to their greatest advantage
    are part of Turkey's teachings.
