Is it wrong to cut down a tree simply to improve the view? It's not a huge tree, but a young cluster of box elders that is smack dab in the center of my wonderful view out the 8-foot wide picture window in my living room. It look out over my [horribly overgrown] backyard, my back field and the big field beyond that. Now I just see a bit of field, and a bunch of leaves.
It certainly would be a suitable inaugeration for my new chainsaw, and i would certainly save the wood for the stove. No waste.
So am I a bad Pagan for not loving this tree?

I think it's ok as long as you'd be using the wood and it wouldn't be going to waste. It's not like you're clear cutting the land or anything. Might want to be sure that tree isn't helping to keep your kooling cost down in summer though.
